Description

VE.Bus BMS and VE.Bus BMS V2 are battery management systems (BMS) designed to interface with and protect a single or multiple Victron Lithium Battery Smart 12.8 V & 25.6 V (LiFePO4 or LFP) lithium batteries in systems that have inverters or inverters/chargers communicating via Victron’s VE.Bus. The system monitors and protects the batteries from over-voltage and under-voltage in each individual component and also conditions of excessively high or excessively low temperatures.

Based on the condition of the battery or batteries, the BMS system:

  • It will generate an alarm warning signal to alert of an impending battery low battery condition.
  • It will disable voltage inversion on VE.Bus inverters or inverters/chargers via VE.Bus and will disable other loads via the “Load Disconnect” terminal in case of under-voltage conditions of a component.
  • It will disable charging on VE.Bus inverters or inverters/chargers via VE.Bus and will disable other chargers via the “Charge Disconnect” terminal in the event of an overcurrent condition, excessively low or excessively high battery cell temperature.
  • Remote activation/deactivation terminals.
  • Ability to deactivate VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers via a GX device.
  • Allows the VE.Bus inverter/charger to be controlled by multiple devices such as the Digital Multi Control, the VE.Bus Smart dongle and/or a GX device.
  • Auxiliary power input and output terminals that allow a GX device to maintain its power supply in the event of a system shutdown.
